String Methods

dryLang provides core string manipulation directly natively.

Convert to String (str)

str(42) // "42"

Convert to Number (num)

num("42") // 42

Lowercase (low)

low("ABC") // "abc"

Capitalize/Uppercase (cap)

cap("hello") // "HELLO"

Trim (trm)

Removes surrounding whitespace.

trm("  x  ") // "x"

Split (spl)

Splits a string by a delimiter into an array.

spl("a,b,c", ",") // ["a", "b", "c"]

Join (j)

Joins an array of strings.

j(["x", "y"], "-") // "x-y"

Replace/Modify (mod)

Replaces occurrences of a substring.

mod("aaa", "a", "b") // "bbb"

Format (fmt)

Standard formatting.

fmt("%s-%d", "x", 5) // "x-5"
